Youthlinc would like to recognize the George S and Delores Doré Eccles Foundation for their generosity in supporting the Utah Youthinc Young Humanitarian Award for the past sixteen years.
The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation is dedicated to serving the people of the State of Utah by carrying forth the philanthropic interests and goals of its founders. The Foundation supports projects and programs that have the potential to make a significant difference in bettering Utah’s communities and enriching the quality of life of its citizens. Their generosity has provided more than $600 million dollars throughout Utah in the focus areas of arts and culture, community, education, health and wellness and preservation and conservation.
The Young Humanitarian Award is Utah’s largest service scholarship and recognizes and celebrates Utah students who are making a difference wherever they are. Through the generosity of the George S and Delores Doré Eccles Foundation, Utah students who excel by giving back to their communities are rewarded with scholarships ranging from $1,000-$5,000.
In addition to supporting the Young Humanitarian Award, the George S and Delores Dore Eccles Foundation has also provided funding for our Local Service Directory and an ESL Literacy program expansion for our Real Life program.
We are incredibly grateful for the long time support of the George S and Delores Doré Eccles Foundation. Through this support, hundreds of Utah students are recognized each year for their outstanding service. Through this recognition, other young people are inspired to give back in their own communities.
