I was skeptical In 2022 when my parents asked if I’d like to go on a humanitarian trip but soon realized I’d like to go on more trips to help others in need. Embarking on a humanitarian trip to Peru in 2022 and Cambodia in 2023. Youthlinc was not just a journey, but a life changing experience for me. It gave me something to look forward to and ignited a passion for service that I never knew existed. Throughout this experience, I learned that helping others and creating connections can truly change my entire perspective on the world.
As I found myself in the vibrant cultures of Peru and Cambodia, I found myself humbled by the warmth and kindness of the people I met. Sharing stories, meals, and laughter with locals not only deepened my understanding of their way of life but I also made genuine connections that went past the language and cultural barriers.
Exploring the rich history and breathtaking landscapes of these countries opened my eyes to the beauty and differences of our world, people and cultures. Through Youthlinc, I discovered the transformative power of service and the impact it can have. This journey has left a mark on my heart, shaping my values for years to come.
Reflecting on my past trips, I realize that not a day goes by without thinking about the people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had. Looking ahead, I’m excited about my upcoming trip to Kenya, knowing that it will be another opportunity to make meaningful connections, learn, and grow in ways I never thought possible.
