The Global Community Leadership (GCL) Program is one of Youthlinc’s core programs in partnership with Utah State University and Utah Valley University designed to meet the demand of college students. Participants are encouraged to enroll for credit through USU and UVU, even if they are non-traditional students, or participate for no credit.

The goal of these study abroad trips is to deepen students’ understanding of what it means to be a “humanitarian” by exposing students to an integrated local and international experience embedded in academic learning. Participating in the GCL Program provides young people with a unique opportunity to develop leadership and cross-cultural communication skills while making a difference in communities around the world. The program also helps participants gain a greater understanding of global issues and the challenges faced by people in different parts of the world.

In addition, participants have the opportunity to build relationships with people from different cultures and backgrounds, broadening their perspectives and enhancing their cultural competence. We believe this will create community leaders who have a practical and academic understanding of the complexities of local and international citizenship, humanitarianism, and diplomacy. The program is designed to help participants develop leadership and cross-cultural communication skills, as well as a greater understanding of global issues.

The Youthlinc Global Community Leadership Program is an excellent opportunity for young people to engage in meaningful service projects while developing leadership and cross-cultural communication skills. The program provides participants with a unique opportunity to make a difference in communities around the world, gain a greater understanding of global issues, and build relationships with people from different cultures and backgrounds. If you are a young person interested in making a difference in the world, consider applying for the GCL Program. Together, we can create a world full of lifetime humanitarians.
