Over the last 18 years, the George S and Delores Dorè Eccles Foundation has been one of the largest donors for the Youthlinc Young Humanitarian Award, recognizing and celebrating Utah students who are making a difference, creating change and encouraging and inspiring others to do the same.
This year, the George S and Delores Dorè Eccles Foundation increased their donation amount to become the anchor sponsor of the 2022 Youthlinc Young Humanitarian Award. Thanks to their generous donation, we were able to award $32,000 in college scholarships to Utah students who embody what it means to be a young humanitarian. Our high school and college winners each received a $7,500 scholarship award. Our high school and college runner up each received $4,000 in scholarship awards and six finalists received $1,500 each.
We want to thank the George S and Delores Dorè Eccles Foundation for their commitment to Youthlinc and the larger community. Through this donation, they are fulfilling their mission to support projects and programs that have the potential to make a significant difference in bettering Utah’s communities and enriching the quality of life of its citizens. They will continue to make a meaningful difference through the lives of our Young Humanitarian Award finalists and the impact these finalists have on the world around them.
